    I’m brand new to sharpening knives but thanks to Alex patience and help, i got these set of diamond stones. The stones cut amazingly fast and are simply amazing! In my opinion if you are on the fence on getting them, don’t wait you wont regret it.

    I originally upgraded to this set from the usual rubbish supplied with fixed angle sharpeners and almost everything Aliexpress offers.

    This is a huge step up. With my softer steel knives (e.g. Wustoff and Global), the stones are tremendous, fast and a beautiful mirror finish. With some of my high HRC knives then you get to see that the Expert Pro lower grit stones are a little slow .. or perhaps I get impatient too quickly! Here I would recommend looking at the Premium Silver range or maybe the Premium Vitrified (which I have yet to try).

    So in summary, the Expert Pro stones are fantastic for polishing and great for grinding and reshaping <59 HRC steels. They polish/refine 61 – 62 HRC very nicely too but I'd suggest reshaping isn't their forte with this sort of hard steel. I believe Alex also does a mixed set of the different ranges so that might be your better option.
