These are really good, they cut fast and give a brilliant factory none mirror edge finished. When these first come out I wasn’t sure to go for it or not but after watching a YouTuber using this I thought I give it ago. These metal vitrified are awesome. I used these stones on many s110v steels and magnacut it absolutely give the best apex edge. But shame they only go up to 1500 grit but I heard pdt may make a 3000 grit soon. When I used these vitrified metal bonded stones the feedback on these feel good and the deposit of the stone compared to resin bonded are less than the resin bonded stone. Highly recommend these over nickel plated stone, obviously depends on budget but these consistently keep the abrasion unlike the nickle bond they feel smoother over time for example my 100grit feels like a 300 grit after 10 reprofile on mixture of maxemet, s110v and other high end steels.

The 160 grit stone is the fastest stone for reprofiling I have ever tried. The 325 grit stone is also very fast cutting stone, and 650 grit stone leaves very nice finish on the knife. These are the best start and reprofiling stones that you can get. They are worth every money. Thanks to Alex for recommendations and help to decide which stones to pick up. Good job UKSG.

PDT Premium Silver CBN Stone (160 grit)
First of all, I have to say that for a 160-grit stone, this thing cuts far faster than any 80 or 100-grit CBN stone I’ve used before. It’s incredible how aggressively it removes material while still feeling smooth and controllable. Profiling is done super quick — it takes off so much material so efficiently that you can reshape or reprofile an edge in no time.
I also want to point out the excellent customer service from Alex. I’ve sent him tons of questions, and he’s taken the time to answer every single one. I’ve even had to tweak and adjust my order multiple times, and he’s always been more than happy to help.
I couldn’t be happier with my PDT Premium Silver CBN Stone and other PDT abrasives. Top-tier performance, amazing quality, and outstanding support — simply excellent all around.

Bought The 160,325 and 650 Grit Silver CBN
Today i had time to do a sharpening .. I did my Yaxell Super Gou Santoku. That knife has never been this sharp before 🙂 With PDT Premium Bronze i always sharpen with Baby Johnson oil but with these stones i tried to sharpen dry! And result and tactile feeling was superb! I did not use the 160grit because this was my own knife and i do not let my own knifes get that damaged. I used the 325,650 and did my burr removal with PDT 3000 CBN. I have never sliced through kitchen this clean before!
And a BIG Shoutout to Alex. For all the help and support and having the patience with all my questions 🙂 I will for sure buy more from UKSG in the future!

I purchased the 160x Premium Silver CBN and am incredibly impressed with the speed of this stone and the finish that it leaves. The stone was ready to use right out of the box with no lapping or dressing necessary and has shown no detectable wear over multiple sharpening sessions, including some high wear resistance steels (Rex-121, Maxamet, K390).
Service from UKSG was great and Alex was super helpful in answering all my questions and shipping everything out quickly.

My 1×6 550 grit fills the role of a portable freehand stone better than any other stone I have tried. For a long time I have been searching for the right portable sharpening stone, and this is the right one. This 550 grit is coarse enough that I am able to reprofile other peoples damaged knives, and sharpen my own up to hair whittling (with a strop) on the go. The feedback is solid, much better than an electroplated stone like an atoma. The speed is solid if a little slower than an atoma. The feedback and burr removal makes up for the -20% speed hit.
The longevity… well I did the calc and you can get around 7000 sharpenings out of this stone. 7000 might not seem like an infinite number, but it does mean you can sharpen your knife once a day for 20 years, or do like 350 reprofilings, so you could reprofile once a month and sharpen once a day for 12 years with this stone. These numbers account for flattening once every 10 sharpenings.
All in all a great stone. Worth it if you either use a fixed angle system or need a portable freehand stone. Before all the fixed angle folks dig into me about using this freehand, I get hair whittling edges with this in 4 minutes freehand. Imaging what you can do with your fixed angle system. This is not a stone you want to pass up.

After sharpening around 15 knives with these stones, I can confidently say that the PDT CBN Premium Silver line exceeded my expectations. I purchased the Hunting & Bushcraft set (160, 325, and 650 grit), but this review applies to the CBN Premium Silver stones themselves.
The knives included an entire Wusthof kitchen set, Ontario RAT 1 and RAT 2 folders, Buck Bantam 286, and several chef’s knives in steels such as D2, AUS-8, 420HC, and various kitchen stainless steels. I used the stones both for regular sharpening and for reprofiling and repairing damaged edges.
What impressed me the most is the combination of cutting speed and smoothness. The stones cut very fast, especially the 160 grit, but still feel smooth, controlled, and predictable. The feedback is excellent and burr formation is very easy to detect.
The 325 grit leaves a very clean scratch pattern, while the 650 grit surprised me the most. Even though it is not a very high grit stone, it leaves an edge that responds extremely well to rigid stropping with diamond compounds.
I also think it is worth mentioning that I used these stones on a relatively inexpensive fixed-angle clone sharpener, yet I was still able to achieve extremely sharp and refined edges. That says a lot about the quality of the stones themselves.
The stones also seem very durable. After many sharpening sessions they still cut aggressively and consistently. I occasionally refresh them lightly with a nagura stone under water, which works very well.
Overall, these are some of the most enjoyable sharpening stones I have used so far. They are fast, smooth, easy to control, and capable of producing extremely sharp edges.
Finally, I would also like to mention Alex and the excellent customer service. He was always willing to answer questions and provide honest advice without trying to upsell unnecessary items.

Havent had a chance to try out my new stones yet but I wanted to leave a review on my experience with customer service. I dont order out of country much but I can say I was very impressed and satisfied with my decision to shop with UKSG.
First, after placing my order, I changed my mind, so I emailed them requesting to change my order, which they did immediately.
Second, I was contacted to be informed that my delivery may be a few days late due to a shipping label mix up. A lot of companies would not have even mentioned it in my opinion, however, just the fact that they reached out to let me know was a big positive in my mind.
